Buy Textbooks

Thank you for shopping for textbooks online!  Please select your term and course number from the drop-down menus at the left and your books will be listed.

A few things you should know when purchasing textbooks:

Undergraduate Orders.  If you are purchasing books for undergraduate classes, your order will be waiting for you in the mail room on campus.  We do not normally ship books for undergraduate orders.  If you are a commuter and don’t have a mail box on campus, please note this in the shipping requests so we can ship the books to your address.

Graduate Orders.  If you are purchasing books for graduate or adult programs, you may either have the books shipped to your home address or arrange to pick them up at the bookstore.  If you prefer to avoid shipping charges, please choose the “Mailroom Pickupâ€� shipping option and we will hold your order for you.  If you need to make special arrangements to pick them up, please contact the bookstore at 740-826-8170.

For your convenience, we make textbooks available for purchase online as quickly as possible.  Textbooks are usually not available in the bookstore more than 1 week prior to the start of a class.  Please call ahead to see if we have the book in stock if you wish to purchase it in the store.

Online Availability.  Textbooks are normally listed online 1-2 weeks prior to the start of classes.  We make every attempt to list them as quickly as possible.  Textbooks will be listed online before they are available for sale in the bookstore.

Digital Textbooks.

Digital versions of many textbooks are now available as an alternative to printed textbooks.  Digital textbooks are downloaded to your computer and are usually half the price of a new textbook.  Currently, digital textbooks are available only in the store.  If you have any questions about digital textbooks, please see a store associate.

Returns

Textbooks may be returned for a full refund or exchange through the end of the add/drop period of each term.  After the add/drop deadline, textbooks are nonrefundable except for students who withdraw within 4 weeks of the start of the undergraduate program (within 2 weeks of the start of the graduate term).  Proof of withdrawal is required for a refund.  Books purchased for courses lasting 2 weeks or less may be returned only through the first day of class.

The original receipt is required for all refunds or exchanges.

New books must be returned in new condition, including the original packaging.

Defective books should be returned as quickly as possible for replacement.  See instructions for returning books here.

Credit card purchases must be refunded to the same credit card.  Muskie Bucks purchases will be refunded to your Muskie Bucks account.

Unsold textbooks are returned to the publisher about 6 weeks after the start of undergraduate terms (2 weeks after the start of graduate terms).  In order to ensure availability, textbooks should be purchased prior to the end of the 5^th week of the term.
